Meet Davy — our scholarship nominee at Sala Monkey!
She was recently awarded a Term 1 scholarship, generously donated by a sponsor from Phnom Penh. Originally, the 8th scholarship in our first group went to another student, but the family wasn't fully comitted, so we have now offered the opportunity to Davy — a bright, dedicated learner who’s been with us since Pre-K .
I still remember when she first joined — full of energy and mischief! Now in Grade 2, Davy has blossomed into a hardworking student with strong social skills and a genuine love of learning .
Her parents collect metal and recycling to support their family , and despite financial challenges, they are deeply committed to her education. Davy has excellent attendance and shines in all her classes — especially Khmer, English, ballet, and Khmer dance.
We’re now looking for a kind sponsor to help Davy continue her journey by covering a term, semester or a full academic year!
